My son is almost 3 and does not speak. We got the Vol 1 signing time and he has grown with his signs and trying to speak. He loves the tempo of this dvd verses others I have bought. I am now getting a second dvd so he can learn even more. Thank ST for a wonderful and fun program. I have always wanted to learn sign and I am able to communicate with my son even though he can hear. He love to sign with me and its our special time together.
I started teaching my son to sign when he was 7 months old. He is 27 months now and knows more than 175 signs as a result of watching Signing Time exclusively. We never have communication issues because he is able to sign and clearly articulate what he wants. Thanks ST.
A good overview of signs relevant to everyday life. This was an earlier production as evidenced by the young age of Alex & Leah. It comes as no surprise that this early version lacks the gusto of the later DVD's in terms of songs, special effects, graphics, etc. I find that the later versions keep my interest longer (and my daughter's too) and seem more upbeat.
my son loved baby signing time and really likes this dvd. we watch it at least once a day. it is fun and very educational for my 20 month old.
My son loves this video... he and I both know all of the signs, and that darn silly pizza song gets stuck in my head all day. :) We're about to order a few more, but I'm so glad I got this one first :)
All 3 of my kids think this particular Signing Time Everyday Signs is fun to watch - Owen was signing along with the Silly Pizza song when he was 18 months! My 6 year old still loves signing and even my middle kid who seemed to have the least interest in signs will ask me how to sign letters of his name or other things of interest to him in the moment.... in part to this educational tool that just makes signing FUN! An awesome gift for any child's birthday, baby through preschool.
My daughter is hooked on Baby Signing Times, but I thought I would go with Vol. 3 of Signing times, and it is a little more grown up than I expected. But, she still LOVED it the minute it started playing, and it has a lot more signs that she doesn't already know, so she is already learning more signs and words! (We received it yesterday!). We have not had any frustrations with communicating with our daughter because of her knowing signs, and she only knows signs because she became hooked on these DVDs (so did we!). She has Down syndrome and has no problems understanding the videos.
Volumes 1-3 of the Signing Time series recap signs learned in the Baby Signing Time videos. If you're looking for NEW signs to learn, skip the first three DVDs from series 1.
We LOVE the Baby Signing Times series and it seems as though my daughter is still enjoying this volume of Signing Times. The quality isn't quite like BST-- I feel like BST was more patient and deliberate...and the filming seemed better. The pace is really fast in ST vol.3 and not as many songs. Not sure that my daughter (w/ DS) is picking up the signs from this like she did from BST. We have the entire BST collection, I just wish there were more volumes created.
