Just the first DVD she learned all but one sign. Between 13-15months, she was up to 31 signs! She loves these DVDs. The songs are catching, and the whole family, even grandma and grandpa picked up all the signs easily so they can re-enforce it.

Not only did the songs keep my son happy, but he started signing at 4 months!!

When he cried or I had to get a little work done around the house, he would sit in his high chair mezmerized by the catchy tunes and cute characters.

He is the scond child in my family to go through the signing time program, and I am a strong advocate for everyone to enjoy this too!

This is one of the top 5 things we've bought for our baby. We had heard about these from a friend and I've heard other parents raving about them since then too. Our daughter started watching these around 8 months old and loves them. She's 16 months now and she uses almost all the signs she's learned. Since so many of her words sound the same at this age, it makes it much easier to understand what she wants. And she's even started singing the theme song. So cute!

My daughter loves baby signing time. She is a year & a half old & can sign about 30+ words & surprises us with new signs seemingly daily. We bought the DVD's when she was about 6-9 months old. When she wants to relax & watch TV she sign's "Baby" for baby signing time. If she is ever in a terrible mood, she will forget all about any tantrum at the sound of Baby Signing Time!

My daughter loves her DVD set. We watch the DVDs several times a day. She moves to the songs and signs everything. She is 21 months old and has just about mastered the entire baby signing time DVD set. We began signing time at 13 months old. It is amazing how much she has learned. I am thrilled with this product and recommend it to every parent. I have ordered her the series 1 set and it will be in soon. We are excited.

My daughter has been watching these videos since she was about 15months old through the library. She quickly picked up on the sign language and uses it in her daily vocabulary. The Baby Signing Time videos has also expanded her vocabulary. I had prayed that the Lord would provide financially for the 4 Baby Signing Time videos and He has. These videos are the best educational videos I have ever seen. The desire of my heart has always been to learn sign language so that my daughter and I can worship the Lord. Rachel has a gift from God that makes it so easy to learn. We so enjoy viewing these videos daily. Now I am praying the Lord provide for the whole Signing Time collection.

We purchased the first 3 BST dvd's for our boy/girl twins when they were 4 months old. Then purchased the 4th one several months later. We love them all and so do the twins! They are now 2 and still enjoy watching them and listening to the music. They can sign almost every sign from all the dvds too! We weren't crazy about them watching alot of TV but once we watched these videos, we had no problem letting it play in the background almost round the clock as the twins played with toys or watched. The animation is great and the music is wonderful; simply entertaining for all! Congrats on an awesome product Rachel & co.!! And I'll add that I've recommended this product to several friends and family with little ones and know for a fact that they too purchased BST!

They are the only thing that keeps her attention and her vocabulary at 15 months is far more extensive than other children her age. I think due to these DVDs.

I love signing time! I started renting them from our local library with my son was 18 months I wish I would have discovered them sooner. He was a slow talker and once we started getting these his vocabulary exploded! He is almost 4 and still loves to watch them with his little brother who is 13 months. I love them because they are fun for everyone of every age group and I can now communicate with my kids in a quiet manner that we all enjoy!

I have watched DVD 2, Here I Go, with my 4-month old granddaughter and WE LOVE IT! The format of the video is educational, engaging, and it uses categories and visuals to make the signs easy to remember.

Even at age 4 months, my granddaughter is engaged with the music, the animation, and all the "babies" (ages 2 and under) that are practicing the signs. I put the DVD in my laptop computer and she sits on my lap and watches. Sometimes I take her hands and arms and make the signs with her.

As a teacher, I can say that categorizing the words combined with songs and the excellent visuals (animated and real), are great strategies for learning and memorizing (for babies and grown-ups!). Clothing words are taught in one segment, transportation words in another segment, bedtime words in their own segment, etc.

I can also say that we used sign language with my oldest granddaughter (now age 10) and it was very empowering to be able to communicate with her before she could speak - for her and us.

I highly recommend these videos to anyone who wants to learn and teach basic sign language to their children.

We started watching Baby Signing Time with our daughter when she was 4 months old. In the beginning, we were just impressed that the videos held her attention so well. We watched 15 minutes at a time and she was engaged the whole time. She probably would have focused longer had we watched an entire episode. The things that impressed me about this product versus other baby dvd series was: high word repetition, use of songs to teach, bright colors, lots of babies (which my daughter loves!) and videos showing the word or action.

As time passed, we were tickled by how excited our daughter got when it was time to watch “her show”. She giggled and laughed every time whenever the Little Hands logo flashed on the screen and signs “Baby Signing Time”. Now, at almost 11 months, we are simply amazed with her language development. She can say and sign more than 20 words and I’m sure her receptive vocabulary is even higher. I recommend this product to ALL of my friends with babies. Being able to communicate with your baby is wonderful.

On a personal note, I love the closing songs at the end of each video. It’s obvious that Rachel is a mom and these tender songs capture completely how I feel about my daughter. This makes me love the videos even more.

We heard about baby signing time from a friend who bought them for her daughter. She would always sign to me and I would always have to ask what she was saying. She picked them up soo fast! I was pregnant at the time so I decided I wanted to do that for my kids too. I finally bought them for my son for his first Christmas when he was 9 months old and he is obsessed! He's 1 now and it's the only thing he likes to watch and he always signs "baby" when I go to the DVD player because he wants to watch it. He has learned so much! My husband even sings and signs along and he made fun of it at the beginning. We all love it! I would recommend these for every baby!! It makes me sad when people don't see the worth of it!

We absolutely love BST!!! My son can hear but everyday when he wakes up he wants to watch "Baby" and will do the sign for baby and go to the TV. He has learned so many signs, mom and dad have, too! We use signs every day and he constantly surprises with signs we didn't realize he knew! The DVDs are so fun to watch. The songs are catchy and make it easy to learn the signs. I love that each word is pictured on the screen and spelled out. My son is only 16 months old and we spend every morning watching BST over and over, signing and singing. We plan to continue with Signing Time Series, Potty Time and so on as he grows!!

I had purchased these right after our child was born. And I must say I enjoyed watching them so much that once our daughter was old enough to watch, she loved them as well. Even now almost three she requests them a lot.

Great signs, cute animation with baby Alex, Leah, and hopkins... and such wonderful songs. She gets the kids so engaged with what she is teaching. Just wonderful. I don't know how she can write such great music after all the good ones in Series 1, but she hit it out of the ball park with these. I feel any child no matter the age would love to watch these dvd's.

She is now over a year old and they are the only DVD's she gets excited about and wants to watch. She does many of the signs now and it is very helpful in determining what she is trying to communicate with us. My husband has also been impressed with how helpful it is for her to communicate using sign language. We would highly recommend this series!

My husband was skeptic but has falling in love with Baby Signing Time. Our daughter is not hearing impaired so he didn't understand why I would want to teach her to sign. Well the first time she signed "Milk" and "Diaper" it completely changed his mind. Now at 11 months she has a 15 sign vocabulary and 12 spoken words. When I have to go out and her dad or grandma have to watch her they love that she can tell them EXACTLY what she wants. It really reduces frustration, crying and tantrums because she can express herself and her needs and have them fufilled right away. My daughter LOVES Rachel's voice and great big smile. The music is well written and catchy. It something I can tolerate to listen to again and again. I would buy this again and again for friends and family.

I had taken some sign language classes when I was in college. I always knew that when I had children that I would teach it to them. Well, after my daughter was born I found the baby signing time videos. We started them when my daughter was 15 months old. She was completely hooked the first time I played it for her and within a few days she started signing lots of words to me. I couldn't believe it happened so fast!! I LOVE the way that the videos are made with the songs. My daughter just turned two and is very verbal but there are still times that I can't understand what she is saying and she will sign for me. Her frustration levels are very low because generally she can always tell me what she wants or needs. I can't say enough about this series and I have purchased it for friends and loaned it out to others as well. If you are on the fence about buying it don't wait any longer! It is worth every penny!

I started using ASL with my son when he was 6 months old. I decided to try the baby signing time dvd's with him. By 10 months old he was signing food, drink, more, and ball. By the time he was 1 year old he was signing almost all of the signs on volume 1. He loves the signing and the songs. At 15 months old he could sign almost 2 volumes. My son's great grandmother was babysitting him often and she borrowed our dvd's and is now very good at signing with him. The dvd's are great. We even listen to the music CD in our car. My son is 2 years old now and has mastered almost all of the signs so we have decided to buy the next set of dvd's (beyond baby signing time). It has been an amazing and effective tool to use. The only thing I would remind parents of when thinking of purchasing these dvd's for the first time would be to have patience and use repetition!

I am so impressed with these DVDs. We first saw signing time on PBS and thought they would be so much better for our child than the regular programs on TV. She started watching them when she was 13 months old and she is 16 months now. She signs all the time and picks up new ones every time she watches. She asks to watch it through sign language all the time. I am so proud of her and she is just in love with these DVDs. I love to watch them too and the songs are great. We are getting the board books for her as well. Worth every penny! Love Love Love

My daughter started signing "milk" around 7 months, at first inconsistently. Now she signs these words from the video quite regularly: baby, more, dog, cat, and just recently, cracker (at the time she'd only had crackers once, but often now since we have to reinforce her communication). She gets excited when she sees the blue FBI warning on the screen because she knows what's coming (we watched them several times a week for a few months). Even though the materials are quite expensive (for being a 30 minute video), they are so worth it; she is already communicating her needs to us!! Thanks Rachel and team!

I would love to see videos with the option to watch in other languages, specifically Spanish and German. Then we could learn the basics on several languages at once.

I started my son on Baby Signing Time when he was about 2 months old. he watches one of the 4 baby DVDs while he eats his dinner. It took longer for him to really start signing, so i started to give up on him ever catching on when he was about 12 months...however, he's been signing more and more (even though he's also talking more and more), and now at 19 months, he really loves signing and does many signs. I'll even ask him a sign that we don't use but I know is taught on the DVD and he'll sign it!

He also LOVES the songs and sings them on his own where ever we go.

Great product! I just got Signing Time Series 1, DVDs 4 - 6 (which is apparently the next step after the Baby series). So i'm hoping he'll continue his love of signing and I'll keep encouraging him!!

I purchased this gift set because I wanted Volumes 3 & 4. My daughter (2 1/2) loved Volumes 1 & 2 when she was younger and I now have a six month old son who is primed for Baby Signing Time. So the price for the whole set was such a deal, that I got everything and am going to give the new Volumes 1 & 2 to a friend with a special needs child who I know will greatly benefit from these DVDs.

My little one is crazy for all of the Volumes. And my two year has a renewed appreciation for them as well. She is glued to the new ones.

We LOVE Baby Signing Times DVDs and are now also enjoying the CD in the car!

I've always been interested in learning sign language myself and teaching my children a second language. I heard about this system from a friend of the family. She had used it for her daughter who is non-verbal. I looked into it for myself and my 15 month old and finally took advantage of the Christmas sales! Since that time my daughter has mastered 'eat', 'more', 'please', 'thank you', 'cracker', and is working on mastering 'bird', 'mom', 'dad', and many other signs. We've only been using these CDs for about a month! My husband and older daughter are also learning these signs while watching. This is a great teaching tool for the whole family!

Well worth it

I initially borrowed the first dvd from my library and I literally couldn't turn it off, my one year old son loves it that much. Now with the help of signs he let's me know when he's hungry or thirsty.

Wish we had bought them sooner!

We got these for our son when he was 15 months old and he began to sign within 2 weeks. It has helped him to communicate so much before he was able to speak much. I wish we had started it with him when he was even younger. I feel like the price is a bit higher than it should be, but they videos are definitely worth it. I am giving Baby Signing Times to both my sister (who is expecting) and my niece (who has a newborn) this year for Christmas!!

Worth every penny.

I am an educator who speaks 2 languages so I know the value of being at least bilingual in today's global society, but my husband only speaks English so I wanted to find a language he could enjoy with our newest member without making him feel like I was forcing him to. Hello ASL! Having a Deaf cousin made me acutely aware of the usefulness of this third most spoken language in the US. It was easy to convince him to try it since my family was behind it with first hand experience but that isn't why I'm writing.

I'm writing to share with all the fence sitters and skeptics that what Signing Time is doing with ASL is nothing short of awesome! As much as I agree with the APA that babies do not need to be exposed to much if any TV before age 2, I am a realist and decided at about 4 months of age to introduce the DVDs to our daughter once a day on the weekends. It the only tv she is allowed to view and she totally loves them!!! I mean she is glued to the screen the entire time. Almost immediately she started looking for signs when I read books to her. Her eyes going from the pictures to my face looking for meaning. At 6 months she started signing milk and responding to eat and all done! Now at 9 months she signs milk, more, eat and dog obviously and appropriately! I have a happy baby girl that is very aware of her surroundings and has no problem telling mommy and daddy what she wants and when she wants it and that is what makes this set so worth every penny. It is why we plan to subscribe to the digital all access pass soon. Knowing what she is thinking and communicating with our daughter is what makes this program priceless. As they say on Yo Gabba Gabba, "Try it. You'll like it!"

My 18 month old started signing from her first viewing of baby signing time. Within a couple months she's learned all the signs from all 5 dvds. I guess I'll be buying the Signing Time DVDs soon. What I also found impressive is that my daughter has actually started to speak more words just from learning the signs. The songs are so cute, and catchy. I think I'm bigger Rachel fan than my daughter is. We are definitely going to learn ASL as a second language. Thank you!
