I ordered both Baby Signing Time 1 and 2 for my 20 month old granddaughter. She is autistic and we have been working on a few signs. Since getting these DVD's she has actually started SAYING a few of the words. She recognizes some of the signs as well and really LOVES the DVD's. Prior to having these she really only said mama. Now she clearly says , Eat, Hat, Shoe, Car, Ball, etc. She relates them to the actual object and doesn't just repeat the words. These DVD's are great and I highly recommend them. I am ordering the CD's so she can listen in the car as well.

Laurie

Wow! I started putting this dvd on the portable player, dangled in front of my daughter when she was just 5 months old, every time we were in the car. within a week she was signing mum awkwardly. After just one more week she was doing it perfectly. She´s progressed so much, that now, at 5 months and 4 weeks, she signs mum, dad, potty and all done. On the day she turned 5 months, I also started to put her on the potty (the smallest one I could buy) just for poohs, and each time I would use the signs for potty and then all done. since that day, she´s only ever done her daily poohs in her potty and now, every morning after her cereal drink, she signs potty to me and when she´s done she signs all done and I wipe her. It´s so wonderful to be able to communicate with her and I´m flabbergasted that she´s signing already at 5 months. She so happy that I understand her. I've bought ALL the signing time DVDs now and look forward to broadening the chat between us.

We adopted 2 little boys from Russia- aged 1 & 1 1/2 when we brought them home. A friend gave me the Baby Signing Times DVDs as a gift. I admit that I was a skeptic initially. I'm now a raving fan & tell anyone with little ones about the DVDs. The boys LOVE the videos & began using the signs very quickly. Now they are beginning to talk, but still use the signs when they say the word -- which is very helpful in figuring out what they're trying to say! Their ability to sign the words has been so amazingly helpful to us. I hope Rachel creates some additional Baby Signing Times DVDs very soon!

I had started some basic signing with my son when he was 13 months old but the progression was slow. within a week of getting this video he has started signing like crazy, and he is also trying to pronounce all the words as he signs them. It was like someone flipped a switch. It is so wonderful to be able to communicate with him, and I am loving learning just as much as he is.

My grandson just turned one, he's not able to say what he wants, but he can sign when he wants milk, cracker or eat, whenever he's hungry. I would recommend these videos for anyone with or having a baby.

My 2 year old daughter with speech therapy was recommended it to start signing language. I started looking around and I remember seen a small video of Rachel in Nick Jr. which my daughter loved; Well I ordered the 1st DVD of baby signing and in a week she already knew 13 signs!! I'm so proud of her and this product is amazing!! So worth the money even tho is a bit pricey. But 100% WORTH IT!

This DVD is amazing! It's easy to learn plus there are catchy songs that get stuck in my head. My son is 3 months old and he is already learning what some of the symbols mean.

My little guy loves all of these dvds. He started picking up signs around 8 months and now he knows so many. This is the only thing I can put on that will keep his attention the whole time it's on, and when each one is done, he signs "all done". (He also signs "baby" to let me know he wants to watch one)

Buying these dvds was definitely one of the best things I could have done for all of us.

I bought Baby Signing Time Vol. 1 and also the Baby Einstein's Signing Video with Mary Matlin for my grandaughter because I wasn't sure which one my grandaughter would like. She LOVES the Baby Signing Time Vol. 1! It keeps her attention, she never gets bored with it and always wants her mom or us to play it for her. It is the one she wants to watch over and over when she is in the car. There is more action and the songs are great with catchy melodies. Most importantly, she has learned all the signs. She is now 17 months old. Highly recommend the Baby Signing Time Vol. 1.

I bought this dvd when my daughter was only 8 months old and she started signing right away. I continued to buy all the dvd's as she learned them and by the time she was 2 she knew over 800 signs. Because of the ABC's signing she was able to spell words before she was 2 and she potty trained easily at 18 months by signing. She is almost 4 now and still loves watching signing time!

I received signing time from a family member who watched it with her son. My daughter doesn't have any disabilities to speak of, we just wanted to teach her to sign to ease some of the frustration of being a baby for her. We started watching the dvd and signing to my daughter when she was 7 months old. She is now 14 months old and it's amazing what she has learned. She can sign just about every sign on the volume 1. It seemed like it might come slow at first but in her own time she has picked it up. It's amazing to watch her sign things that we didn't realize she knew. Signing time has been amazing and my daughter abslutely adores the video. She grabs it off of the shelf and puts it in my lap whenever she wants to watch it. I am ordering the next two volumes for Christmas.

My one year old LOVES Sighing Time!!! She got it for her birthday it was the best gift!! Its what we will give from now on

I received Baby Signing Time vol. 1 as a gift before my son was born and now we watch it everyday! It's so much fun that I find myself singing the songs all around the house! I can't wait to start vol. 2!

I have not yet received this volume 1 yet but i have seen her show's and it has helped me and my son to be able to talk to some friends. I'm glad to be able to start with my son from the beginning again because you always learn something new.

My 17 month old son, Zach, LOVES baby signing time. He gets so excited when we put it in for him to watch. He has learned so many signs and is able to communicate so well with us at such a young age.

I have watched my granddaughter go from total frustration in attempting to communicate with her parents at 1 yr age, to signing what she wants from watching this DVD. As a Grandma, it is sooo much easier to take care of her now, because she can easily communicate with me at 16 months of age, and is beginning to say words. She loves to sit and watch the DVD and sign along with the person in the DVD. She knows and uses all the signs on DVD no. 1. She does not like other animation on other DVD's, but likes the actual people in this DVD. I wish I would have had it for my own children. I am ordering No. 2, & 3 for her. These are amazing educational tools which all Mothers should know about! And Grandmothers, too, so they can buy them for baby shower gifts!

My daughter is 6 months old and we have been showing her this video for a couple months now. She loves it! She hasn't quite picked up on the signs just yet but that is because we have just started doing the activities with the related sign but I swear she was doing banana with her finger the other day!! I have just ordered the whole collection! I like them because the videos keep her engaged and I can make dinner etc....also because I feel like she is learning from them unlike some of the other baby videos out there.

This is a great video. I think I enjoy it as much as my 20 month old twins! The songs are catchy.

My grandson received volumes one and 2 as a gift. It is the screen time is will watch or interact with. He calls it 'baby' and asks for it often and with insistence. To say he loves it would be an understatement. He is now quiet accomplished, with the signs he has been exposed to, at 22 months and I believe it has enhanced his vocabulary and desire to speak and be understood. Thanks for the opportunity to expose him so effortlessly.

FANTASTIC!!! We got volumes 1 and 2 for our little imp a little over a month ago and she started signing to us within days - at 9 months old! I nearly fell out of my chair. She loves it and I highly recommend it to all parents. It is very entertaining and very effective. You can't help but learn it with your baby. A word of caution though, the songs are incredibly effective. You will find yourself humming the music at work. I always wanted to pick up some sign language long ago - now I find myself picking it up right along with the wee one. She actually will sign to us when she wants to see it (her little arms bicycle like crazy and she bounces up and down). Another funny by-product is that she is also picking up verbal skills at the same time. I only wish my local PBS station had it on their programming.

We started watching this when my daughter was 6 months old. My daughter was very engaged at that time, but not yet signing. We continued to watch and when she hit 9 months of age, it all came together! She is now 15 months old and knows many signs (after buying other volumes). These are still her favorite videos and never tires of them. She laughs out loud when she sees Rachel (the host). Rachel is more popular than Elmo, Barney or Teletubbies in our household! It is wonderful to communicate without the frustration, whining and screaming I often hear with children this age. Thank you for a wonderful product. I will continue to get more volumes as we are ready for more signs. As a teacher and a mother, I recommend this to all parents!

Both of our sons have something called Apraxia of Speech, they are 2 and 3. These DVDs were given to us to use by their speech teacher. Our 3 year old has just come so far since then. He was frustrated because we couldn't understand him, now he can tell us what he wants. They have been a Godsend to us. THANK YOU

None of my friends kids sign. I think my son's favorite part is that is shows all the kids signing! We didn't show my son TV until around 14 months, but I used the DVD for myself to learn the signs and see how little kids might do the signs a little differently. Now that he is watching the DVD, it gives him extra opportunity to practice signs of things we don't see very often, like horse and frog. I would recommend this DVD to anyone, and I do! Right now I'm trying to talk the babysitter into watching it so she can learn all of my son's signs.

The songs on this DVD are so catchy! My 15-month old daughter loves all the BST DVDs, but these are the songs that get stuck in my head! She signs along with the DVD and busts a move when "Diaper Dance" comes on. The signs are pertinent to the things that she is wanting to do and talk about right now, so it is extremely helpful to have signs revolving around eating and animals (her two favorite things!!) These DVDs are all great!

I love this DVD, i first saw signing time on PBS and decided to buy this for my daughter when she was 9 month. She asks me to play this DVD over and over. She is now 18 month and knows all the signs from this DVD and has started saying words as she signs. I recommend this to everyone i know. Thank you so much for this wonderful product.

We have Vol 1 and have borrowed Volume 2 from the library. My son loves them! He does the signs and it's a cute and entertaining way for him to learn. I tell everyone about these videos. If they were more in the 15$ dollar range, I would buy a lot more!

We received this DVD as a gift, my son is 14 months old and he loves it, the first time watching it he picked up the sign for eat and with a little help from mommy he has learned signing for more and baby and this was just after watching it 3 times. I highly recommend these, they are so much fun, great pictures, and great music.

I began signing with my son from the time he was born. When I discovered Baby Signing Time he took to it immediately. He liked learning new signs and began using them after watching the video the second time. It also helped me learn new signs to use with him.

I have always had a passion for ASL and took every college course I could on the language and culture. When I became a mother I knew I wanted to pass Sign Language onto my children. I started signing with my son from the moment he was born, though his hearing was fine. We got this DVD for his first birthday for car trips as they have become a struggle for him. He was instantly engaged and within a week was signing more and more. He is now 18months old and knows nearly 50signs and understands way more. These have been a blessing to me. Thank you so much for this amazing product as well as sharing with us your heart! I am truly blessed!

I received this dvd as a gift. My son is now 9 months old and he will sign milk, so far that is it, but he is just mesmerized by the dvd. We watch it several times throughout the day. I sing and sign with him a couple times a day, but if I need him to be occupied while I get dinner on.... He loves it. He loves Hopkins, he just giggles like crazy every time Hopkins is on. We love this dvd. We can't wait to get volume 2 and the music cds as well. Kathy

I bought the DVD which was cute to watch, but my baby could not get it and I could not figure out why. I took a class locally that explained better HOW to teach babies to sign. My little girl was signing back to me within a week after I took the class. Buying the DVD is good, but I strongly suggest people take a live class and get more 'hands on' instruction and ideas on how to actually teach it to your baby.

My daughter Emma is 18 months and is totally obsessed with signing time. She knows all the signs from Baby Signing Time Vol 1 and 2 and she regularly points to the tv saying "Baby!" while doing the sign for "signing time." We have since bought the entire series and it is worth every penny. I think this is is an amazing endeavor and I am appreciative from the bottom of my heart.

Sincerelt, Ryan Mckinny

I started watching this DVD with my son when he was just 3 months old and he LOVES it! He is now 7 months and understands "drink milk", "dog", and "eat more cereal", etc... I can't express how wonderful this program is, and am now confident that in the event my little guy is a "late talker," we'll be able to communicate anyhow. Rachel does a fabulous job and our older children enjoy watching her sign as well. Thanks Baby Signing Time!

My 17 month old son, Zach, LOVES baby signing time. He gets so excited when we put it on. Sometimes, he gets the DVD for us to put in the player. He can sign almost all of the signs on vol 1 and 2. He has actually conveyed some needs to us using signs since he is not yet talking. Now, many of our friends have purchased some signing time videos. These are nicely done.

As a teacher I always knew when I had a child I would teach them sign language. The response I have seen from my daughter after watching the baby sign videos has far surpassed any expectation! Thank you so much for the ability to communicate with my baby!!!

We have been watching volume 1 everyday since we received it a couple of weeks ago with my 7 month old. He hasn't started to sign yet, but he is captivated and we love watching it together and I sign to him around the house. Just waiting for him to start signing back. The songs are contagious and I go around singing them all the time, even at work!

I started teaching my son baby signs before he was a year old. By the time we got this DVD at 13 months, he already was using the signs for "more," "eat" and "book." This video absolutely captivates him and he has picked up more signs in a very short time. We love the fact that he can communicate with us. My only caveat is that some of the signs are not the same as the ones taught by Dr. Linda Acredolo and Dr. Susan Goodwyn, the original "baby sign" people. For example, the signs for "drink" "dog" and "cereal" are different, so if you started out with another version, it could be a little confusing for your toddler to make the switch. The songs are very catchy--you WILL hear them in your sleep. And the CDs are just as fun to listen to as the DVDs are to watch.

I have a 2 year old son with a Speech delay and low muscle tone. He absolutely LOVES Signing Time and has learned so much from it. We tried other signing DVDs, but nothing compares to Signing Time.Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your time with US!

I used this with my 1 yr old and we both love it! It's the best signing video ever!! And we both learned the signs!!!

The songs are just so catchy and my smiles every time we turn it on.

My 9 month old daughter and I just love this DVD. We had a friend suggest this and we are hooked. We are learning so many new signs that we use everyday- and the songs are so catchy and cute. I can't wait to get the next one.

My dauhter Allison (2yrs old) loves this DVD...problem is she wanna watch it continuously lol Joon

I bought this and "Here I go" when my son was 12 months. He loves to watch the video and at 17 months he is using and knows most of the signs. I will be buying more.

My little one LOVES these videos. We started when he was about 8month old. As he is getting older he picks up the signs in the video much faster. He really likes to dance and "sing" along with the songs.
