Parent Reviews

    • Covered ASL grammar in a simple and easy to understand way. Lots of fun. ~Colleen
    • Loved the way you divided the screen with Alex showing English and Leah doing ASL. Perfect! ~Elizabeth
    • This video covered almost everything the ASL class I took from the Colorado School for the Deaf and Blind covered in eight sessions! Amazing! ~Kathy
    • I liked the explanation of the "little words" and how they disappear. The concept of the words moving around and being kicked out of the sentence helped to give a visual reference. ~Amy

This Signing Time is what I have been waiting for!! It covers all the information that I learned in my ASL 101 class in college, but it teaches it with visuals, songs and simplified explanations!! For the last 7 years my kids have built up their vocabulary with the other signing time videos, and I have been trying to teach them sentences and sentence structure, but I haven't known how to teach it to them in a way they could understand. This is amazing! And I know we will be using it daily to practice! I can't wait for the next one to come out!! (oh and my kids thought Alex and Leah were so fun and entertaining!)

We LOVE LOVE LOVE Signing Time in my house! We have had the complete Signing Time Vol 1 & Vol 2 plus Baby Signing Time for 6 years, and all 6 of my kids are avid signers. Last year we added Signing Time Christmas Time and Potty Time to our collection, and were the recent recipients of the newest edition, Signing Time Sentences. We were so excited to get it in the mail, as we could now start to put all the 700+ words we've learned into complete sentences. The kids were excited to see Alex & Leah again (all grown up!) We love it so much and are looking forward to Vol 2 and more! If you are thinking of getting this, you will not be disappointed!

This is exactly what we have been looking for!

My husband and I are teaching my six year old daughter sign language so she can communicate with her deaf uncle. She only gets to see him once or twice a year so her signing time friends are her only readily available link to the deaf community. I sign with her at home sometimes and we use it frequently for quiet, sometimes long-distance, communication. But something was definitely missing!

I learned English Sign Language back east from some deaf friends in High School and college. So when I married my husband and moved out west, I quickly realized that I needed to learn ASL! Some of the signs are different from back east to out west, but that is easy to learn. Signing Time to the rescue! For me and my daughter. But I was still struggling with learning and teaching my daughter ASL sentence structure. The only time I got practice with that was the few text messages my brother-in-law and I send back and forth. Not quite the same.

So when we saw this DVD we snatched it up! It is perfect!

My daughter found it in the mail this morning (it was going to be a Christmas present, oh well). We are watching it the second time through now. We are both learning and the kid is very entertained by it!

Thanks for taking this to the next level! Keep up the good work!
